Goodbye sembreak... Hello 2nd sem...

I traveled back to Baguio last Monday so i will still have time to rest that night. And oh hell, I really felt sick during he 4-hour ride.

By Tuesday morning, Jenica and I went to the school to get our clearances. And it's a good thing to see that both of us didn't have school accountabilities.

We had an early lunch that's why around 12:15 pm,we were back to school (Juniors were scheduled to enrol in the afternoon ).

This was what I've been through:
  • Admission

  • Advising (matagal kasi and daming inadvise ng adviser namin)

  • Getting Form 5

  • Back to our adviser

  • Checking and Assessment (ang haba-haba-haba na pila!!)

  • Payment (ok lang kasi madaming representatives)

  • Queue for Classcards

  • Final line for ID stickers (saktong inabutan ako before the closing time)

Ayun, 19 units...

I'm still feeling nervous about my thesis proposal. Hope to handle this semester well.

So yesterday afternoon, I travelled back to Tarlac for a few more days of rest before another sem of academic battle.I'll be travelling back on Monday. Class starts on November 17. Oh no. The days are flying. Prayers are deeply appreciated. Thanks!~

Doing better now...

..At last, roads are more or less fixed...(or passable at least)..
thanks to everyone who prayed.

Food supply is once again becoming stable. Yet, some prices remain relatively high due to what happened. Many of our faculty and the university administrative staff went off on a Relief Mission to the affected areas after collecting and packing the relief goods to be distributed.

What I'm, facing now is my dilemma on all of my exams, papers, presentations and other requirements. I'm having an exam tomorrow morning in Econ 121 (Monetary Economics). Then the rest of the day would be spent in class practice. On Sunday, we will conduct our final presentation on our Humanities class. On Monday, I have my Econ 141 (International Economics) exam plus another paper due.

I hope I would be able to go home on Monday of Tuesday.
I really wanna go home.
I miss the food, the sleep, the Internet, everything about my home.

But before that, I wish my trip home would be trouble and danger-free.
I'm still scared of how the main roads look like.
Another batch of prayers for this.
Thanks guys!

(Sorry I wasn't able to reply on comments. Academic obligations first. Thanks! )

super busy...

(Photo from: kingfishpiesflickr.com)

I can't even post a nice blog.

Ilang araw na.
Malapit na kasi ang FINALS WEEK. Lots of requirement are given. Exams are scheduled everyday. A couple of term and critique papers are due.

Wish I could finish this semester alive.
Or even sane at least.

enrolment's done...=)

I woke up around 5:30am..wow..sobrang aga..i can't believe i just made it. After using the heater and finished preparing the stuffs to wear, I took a bath and finished in 15minutes. I dressed, ate breakfast, brushed my teeth and walked to the school.

7:30am
We were in a queue to get our clearances...

8:00
The office opened. i got my clearance and found out that i had an accountability in the dorm. Gosh! Our building is really, really sort like "underworld" in the university because there's this 'abortion stairs' which we first need to pass through. Well, it's easy the way down, but the ascent is hell. Still, my friend, Jenica, and I rushed our way out to proceed to the dorm. We waited for about 10mins. and paid something at the office there. Now back to the school.

A very long, crowded line of Juniors could be seen when we arrived. Of course, we were almost at the back. The line hadn't moved yet. This is for the CRS results for the admission.

After this, another stop in alone of the rooms for advising. In less than 3omins. I got my turn. I raced to the JL Auditorium to get 2 more subjects only to find out that what i was looking for were both closed. Good thing i saw a friend who as about to cancel his Econ 106 slot and gave it to me. The pother subject, Hum 1, I was able to enlist due to the teacher's prerogative (but i needed to proceed to the CAC building first). I was so tired.

Then, i filled my Form 5 and went back to my adviser, Sir Toto. And up to the Audi again. I had my subjects checked and assessed. Then paid at the cashier. Then got my class cards.

I was able to finish all the processes before lunch time. So i was able to go home to Tarlac on the afternoon.

So, my subjects for the coming semester are:

  • Econ 106
  • Econ 121
  • Econ 141
  • Psych 180
  • Hum 1
  • Media Studies 11

All subjects scattered from Tuesday to Saturday. Hoping this sem would be great as the previous ones.

done with physics project...got a perfect score for it!!!

Sa wakas natapos din...
We made "something" out of straws and put a fresh egg in it.
The experiment was done a few hours ago.. during my English class, that's why i wasn't able to really see what happened. ='(
But after the class, i saw Sir Ian and asked for the grade of our group.
He said we got a perfect score...

The experiment was like this:

"Save the Egg Project"
(Egg drop)
  • The egg will be placed inside our "creations."
  • It will first be dropped from the 2nd flood of a building and will be checked whether the poor egg survived the fall.
  • If there were no cracks, it will proceed to the next stage... a fall from the 3rd floor.
  • If the egg still remain uncracked, the group would be given a passing grade.
  • Plus, the construction and design of the "creation" will have respective points as well...
Di kami nanalo sa design... they said the other class got this award. Anyways, at least natapos na... no more problems... Exam na lang sa Lunes... right after makabalik ng Sunday from Sagada...

Exhausting summer.... indeed!

buhay DORM...food chaos!

!!!oh noh..!!!
as i woke up around 7am kanina...
nagmadali ako na maglagay ng heater sa tubig na paligo ko sa 1st floor (by the way, i'm residing at roon 207, 2nd floor, UPBaguio Residence Hall ) kasi ang daming nakapila sa 2nd floor (as usual) hoping to have a warm bath kasi lagi na lang malamig yung paligo ko...eh pag umaga, ang lamig-lamig sa dorm...

after nun...i checked my grocery kasi i was planning to cook canton (as usual uli) for my breakfast plus some hot chocolate to pair it with...
as i was tring to find a pack of pancit canton at the SM plastic bag sa upper shelf ko...i discovered na wala na pala akong stock!

oh no talaga!

nakakainis...!
so i ended up making a hot Milo drink and eating a pack of 3-piece Presto Creams...so light...
hay....

sana makapaggrocery na ako mamaya....
di ko pa naman hobby ang magpagutom...
di kasi ako sanay ng walang kinakain kung walang magawa...
hay....
pero so far enjoy pa naman sa dorm..
di lang nga ako masyado nakakanuod kasi i prefer to read upstairs than to watch TV programs na di ko naman gusto...(pero usually come to watch the news for some updates)...

oh no..,i was wrong... it did rain during the Graduation Day!

after a sunny and warm lunch with Ate Mika, Kuya Josh (who graduated that day) and Alodia... we went back to our campus to check the graduating students...
by around 2pm, they were requested to form their line for the march to the Convention Center...
pictures here, pictures there...
click! click! click!
the graduating ones in their white/cream-colored Barongs and dresses.,..
so nice to see...
i also had pictures with some of my closest friends,,,
but then, the sun began to hide,,
thick gray clouds started to cover the sky...sending me a chill,.,..
on no..

while we were at the 2nd floor of IB building watching the crooked line of students,..
shouts of disappointment flooded the parking lot due to a few drops of drizzles that lead in a seemingly unending rain!

"OH noooooooo!!!"

"Shit, ulan...."

"Dali, sa IB..."

"..dun tayo sa lobby...!!"

"whyyyyyy!!!!!"

different expressions from all over...
and it also mad me sad coz i was expecting a fine weather as well...
not to mention i was only wearing short shorts (as in really short...) and a thin piece of blouse with almost exposed back...(haha..i was really optimistic that the sun would be up...)

the rain fell for a very long time and all of the graduating students tried to save their clean dresses from the downpour... make-up,. headdress and high-heels included...

i felt the cold wind,..
and i hated that feeling...

it was raining...
AGAIN....

so we just decided to ride a taxi though the convention center is just in front of the university..just a few mild steps away..but we just can't pass the rain...
a really impossible thing to do that moment...

despite having my umbrella with me while riding the taxi..
i still got soaked...oh no...

but we still managed to get to the convention center alive...
but not happy of how we look..
so wasted...
so cold..

i just told you all...
i really hate the rain..
and this is just one reason for it...!

Camp John Hay Eco Trail for PE2 summer class

i woke up early this morning to prepare for the first meeting of my PE class (Outdoor Recreation). when we arrived in our room, Sir Florendo just started discussing our course outline.

after a few more words, he said that we could have our break for around 20-30 minutes before our first activity - we will be travelling be foot to Camp John Hay to finish the Eco Trail located there. i was really surprised by this early announcement. i was only wearing a sleeveless and a jacket on top, with my tight skinny jeans and posh flip flops...O-M-G! i wasn't even prepared for a walk. i thought that since this is the first day we were only about to submit our class cards to him. but since this was the class that i enrolled, i have no choice but to agree on whatever our Prof's decision will be.

After a few minutes, we gathered to the main entrance of the university and then we began to get moving. i walked with my friend Jenica who is a resident of the same dorm i'm staying in as well. we knew each other since first year and we've been classmates in most of our subjects the previous sem. another good this was that both of us wore the same type of clothing - at least may partner ako...haha.

we reached the gate and began the trail. the grass is wet due to the rain last night; the ground is muddy which made our descent more 'dangerous' since we were afraid of slipping here and there; the frogs are all noisy... making our trail more irritating for me. but despite all these, i really loves the scene - the tall pine trees, the dew on the leaves, the rays of the sun trying to penetrate through the woods, the imbalance between the coldness and the warmth in the trail.

i also enjoyed a number of bridges (hanging and wooded ones) which we passed in order to get to next place, which ironically Jenica hated the most. she even cried at the sight of the first hanging bridge we were about to pass.

it was almost an hour of ups, downs, curves, and skips before we were able to be on the main site. yes it was exhausting... really exhausting...

we rested for a couple of minutes and then started our way back...
oh no..
not again....

the sky is gray with heavy clouds...i'm really afraid it might rain.
oh i hate the rain!

so when Sir told us that we are dismissed once we finished our way back, we hastily get on our feet and walked as fast as we can with the most careful steps we were able to make.

another draining hour of walk.
walk. walk. walk. climb. descent. here and there.

this time, we were more relaxed since we already knew the path.
we were also able to take a few pictures even in the hanging bridge.

(midway, i saw a crab around 3 inches long. i tried to move it and saw it was alive indeed. i was shocked to see an orange crab on the woods... i even told my other classmates about it before moving forward. Sir Florendo saw it as well and said that one classmate took it with him...haha)

well... it was such a nice experience... though it really made both my feet tired. this is my first time to travel that trail and it was fulfilling for me.

hope for another crazy adventure from this class...
most especially, looking forward in going to Sagada before summer class ends...

so, so, so tired...

...i went to the city this afternoon to deposit some money..
the sun was striking its painful hot rays...
..
i felt really warm...
after depositing, i went to Tarlac State University to get the exam results of my brother,,
then i went to the mall...

walk-and-walk-and-walk-under-the-bright-bright-sunshine.
my skin is getting darker even though i'm using my Totes umbrella.,..
from the mall..
i made my way to the main street...

then to Far East Trading..
i bought tiny beads which eventually popped into jelly-like gaudy spheres when soaked for a few hours in the water...really nice..
then i looked for a place to buy some other stuffs,,,
..finally..
i rode my way to the terminal home,,
Good thing, i accidentally bumped with a friend..
an elementary and high school classmate..
we chat with each other while waiting for a ride...
she told me updates about some of our friends,,,
It's so nice to see an old friend again after a long time,,,
..

I went home exhausted..
yet happy for what had happened...
so nice to bring back the memories,,,,indeed,,..

so hectic...i can't even breathe

...it's Saturday...the sun hides behind the clouds - this-makes-me-sad-sad-sad.
we have no classes.
but it's more demanded to go to school today.

We have our class practice for PE2 - Dance Aero.
You know what happened?
  • I came first
  • Not even a half attended
  • We practiced at Sunshine Park where we were bathed with smoke (eeew! so annoying because i just took a bath!)
  • We learned just a few steps
  • We dismissed early
  • Nothing so much was gained
Today is the scheduled day of thesis defense of my graduating orgmates and friends. I'm so sad I can't watch them because I still have lots of things to do. And one thing more, I'm only wearing shorts. Though it is ok, i still feel that i should have worn anything more formal for the event. =(
Right now, i'm here at the university library (AGAIN) to find more reading materials for my exams. Library hours is extended up to 7 in the evening. I still have to do research for our experiment. I need to do my auto-shaping for my Psych140 class. Our Behavior Modification Program (BPM) group project is still hanging.

I have more than a hundred-page reading to get done til Monday.
So pathetic.
Wish i am a superhuman...
But i know i can.
It's not my attitude to give up easily.
Yes, i can!

torn between schedules

...oh my gosh!

deadlines, experiments, papers, exams - I'm so, so over occupied with schoolwork!

how i wish i could get through to this without broken bones.
with over 500 pages of reading materials to finish and understand, i don't know if i can still manage to stay alive.

wish me luck!

microeconomics exam....so bloody difficult! da*n...

...oh my gosh..
i think i wanted to collapse...
our 3rd long exam in microeconomics really drained me...
we started the exam by 10:00 am and we extended till 12:35pm..
my tummy really growled so loud..
good thing we sat one seat apart...

pathetic...
i wanted to pass my test answers early, even before 12 noon...
i can't answer the latter part of the exam..

the first ones were so easy - i think some sort of a give-away...
but the last part exhausted all my remaining energy...
i don't want to think about it now...
i'll just do better next time...
