my blog is becoming a library...

Hmmm....

It just happens that i'm reading a lot these days, no wonder why my blogs are mostly book reviews here and there.

Well, since i have nothing much to do while I'm having my short break after my summer class and before the new academic year opens its door, i think reading is the only thing that would keep me occupied and alive (of course, Internet is an exception).

And since i also brought home my newly bought books, i have no choice but to finish reading them. So now, I'm up for another book, er, books actually. I started on Boy Still Missing by John Searls and Some Kind of a Hero by Donna Hay, and i found both a little boring based on their introductions. So I put them down.

And now, I'm reading Stephenie Meyer's Breaking Dawn again (from Little, Brown Book Group)Just some sort of a light reading with a brush of romance and thrill to shake my mind away from the previous mystery stories I recently got. I'm back to the fifth chapter, i guess. But even though i already know what would happen next, i still can't help myself from reading Edward and Bella's sweet conversation of love. Oh how sweeeeeeet!
I just love 'em.

finished reading New Moon last night

..yes..!
see what a good student i am...
i finished reading the last 3 chapters of New Moon before reviewing my lessons...
hahaha...
i just can't get myself out of this mess...
i just can't resist myself on waiting for Edward (as if i'm Bella).. good thing this part ended well (although it didn't really ended yet),,
i re
ally can't keep my mouth shut while going on with the pages..
i keep on saying comments or telling Bella what i would like to tell and do to Edward the exact time they united under the shadows of the clock tower...
since after Edward has left, it indeed broke Bella into pieces... as she said,
I'd been broken beyond repair.
it was really, really romantic! the fact that Edward held Bella so close to him made me feel the true love between them. so sweet!!!!! and i know that Edward was just being so protective when he said that he didn't want Bella to be one of them (vampire) but as her nature tells her, she tried to solve this by casting the votes of the Cullens...good thing, MOST of them welcomed Bella wholeheartedly and said Yes to her...
*** *** ***
Something more...
i really loved the line which said...

His midnight eyes g
lared into mine with the gravitational force of a black hole...

i just loved the concept... the sincerity... how i wish i can also find my Edward... in the right time maybe...

reading New Moon by Stephenie Meyer

just started reading Stephenie Meyer's New Moon...
it's just so bad that i already read Eclipse and almost halfway through Breaking Dawn before summer class and I'm just having a close reading of this sequel now...
well, this is due to the lack of copies of its stock here.
it was only last week that piles of copies are delivered in local bookstores here in Baguio that's why i was only able to buy this one now...
well...
the story is nice..
just sad 'coz the majority of t he part was Bella with Jacob and not Bella with Edward...
(*sigh*)
but i know Edward will start appearing again...soon...

love story

Category:Music
Genre: International
Artist:Taylor Swift
This song came out when the rumors that Taylor broke up with Joe Jonas.
i actually don't know the real story behind their affair, and i don't care either.

Anyways, this song flew its position so easily on all music countdowns since its release.

I know the concept is not unique but i liked it. I think it's cute. Taylor is undeniably so pretty and her partner looked close to Joe on the first scene (just trying to relate things here).

It's a Romeo and Juliet love story. The lyrics are simple but are nice to the ears. The tune is also good. Really suited for Valentine's Day.

One thing more, their settings are really great. Especially the “mini” castle. It's really romantic. The production did it well. Her voice fits the song perfectly. Just love it!

Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer (The 3rd book)

Category: Books
Genre: Science Fiction & Fantasy
Author: Stephenie Meyer

After two days of interrupted reading, I finally got to the concluding pages of Eclipse last New Year’s Day.

It’s so silly but I think this wouldn’t be a review but a reaction to its contents. I can’t forget the part where Bella admitted that she also loved Jacob – it sucks! I just can’t imagine it. I understand that she was really concerned of her friend and want him out of any kind of trouble as much she want the Cullens to be away from such problems, but she acted too much to the point that she even asked Jacob to kiss her – and she just gave in – so disgusting imagining how Jake looked in the movie (it was indeed difficult for me to comprehend why Edward just accepted this insanity!). She also kept on saying that everything wrong was because of her – when someone was hurt, when there was fight, when there were misunderstandings. (Sigh.) It irritated me. Nakakasawa na.

Still, I’m thankful that she gave more importance to Edward when she answered Yes to his marriage proposal (it was a given though).

On the other hand, I just can’t compliment Edward’s patience, perceptiveness, and unconditional love toward Bella. I can fathom why he was just that overprotective – more than Bella deserve. How I wish I was her (haha..!). I really liked how Edward acted on this book. He’s so ideal. Almost perfect. Maybe I’m overly praising him but there are no other words for me here. I imagine him to be so cute when he admits that he gets jealous about Jacob – I like men who admit they’re jealous, at some point. He was so sincere in wanting Bella by his side forever yet still gives her the choice. He’s the one who keeps on pushing Bella on doing human stuffs as much as possible. He wants her to feel these things before turning into a vampire herself to have the least regret when she is there. Though physically hard and cold, Edward is so treats her with so much care in his own ways. Such a lovely picture. Nakakakilig – that’s it.

Also, my fave part was when Edward gave Bella a gift – a representation of himself as he said after he saw what Jacob had given her. It was a heart-shaped crystal that was cut in a million facets so that “even in the subdued light shining from the lamp, it sparkled.” I want to quote this part,… “But I thought it was a god representation,” he, Edward, continued. “It’s hard and cold.” He laughed. “And it throws rainbows in the sunlight.” “You forgot the most important similarity,” Bella murmured. “It’s beautiful.” My heart is just as silent,” he mused. “And it, too, is yours.”

…Oh…how wonderful. This is why I hate reading such kinds of stories. It makes me hope so much that there might be an Edward like him for me somewhere in this real world. Like what he does, I dream that someone would appear on my room through the window and hum me my own lullaby ‘til I sleep. I think it’s furthermore so nice to fall in his arms – though cold, I might shiver – because I know his tight embrace would give me the only comfort that I need. He might be more than enough. And I hate myself more when this kind of fantasy strikes me. I just can’t wait for what will happen next.
