...woke up around 7:30 am... ate some breakfast... put some warm water on my bath and there i went. I dressed up, wore my Chucks and prepared myself. Ready to go...
My first class was Soc Sci 197. Our Prof, Ma'am Lelet, just introduced herself and gave the requirements for the class. It was also an SOP during first days to give our classcards, and that was it. We were dismissed early.
Next class will start by 1 pm. Econ 171.
So i have to go and eat some lunch first.
BAD NEWS:
Since class just began... there would be less time for blogging.
Oh no...

Humanities Final Presentation class pictures!!!!!!
October 18, 2009
Bulwagan Juan Luna,
University of the Philippines
Baguio
Humanities 1 - JX
These pictures were taken during Sir Scott "Popoy" M. Saboy, our instructor in Humanities 1, was giving his evaluation for our final performance which was a stage play, by the way. Good to say that he said that what was performed was not what he expected, but we surpassed his expectation.
It was such a crazy class...but we really learned a lot. About reading, about exploring and seeking something more...
I won't ever forget this class...

poems or not? beginning to study poetry in a deeper sense...

My Humanities class a few hours ago was just alright. We had a quiz, some discussions and group activity.
We were divided into 8 groups where a piece of literature to identify as a poem or not. All of which are presented to the class in the form of a song (kasi kantanga naman), music videos included. The pieces are:
Where Have All the Flowers Gone?... Peter Seeger (our piece)
Kaleidoscope World... Francis M.
Colors of the Wind... Lea Salonga
Journey... Lea Salonga
Heal the World... Michael Jackson
Angels among Us... Alabama
In the Name of the King..
I Need a Hero... Bonnie Tyler

Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time for our presentations so we just had our group discussion and we will be presenting next meeting. At 2:30, class ended.
I think our group had a nice discussion. Hope the reporting would be nice as well.

ulan-araw
Pagkatapos lang ng class kay Sir Boq sa Econ 141,wherein I was forced to pick China's non-tarrif trade barriers as topic for my first major paper here, diretso na ako dito sa library... (um, dumaan muna pala ako sa internet room just to find out na wala nang vacant computer dun).
Pagkatapos hiramin 'tong book na 'to:
I went upstairs para makapag-internet...
Pero bago makapasok dito, nabasa, at the same time, naarawan ako while on my way here. Ang liwanag ng sikat ng araw pero ang lakas din naman ng ulan...
Good thing natapos din agad.
I don't want to be soaked (nakakatamad kasi maglabas ng payong) and sayang naman ang outfit ko today. Sabi nga ni Kev, "Jai Hong- Jai Ho ka ngayon ah..." Kasi naman I'm wearing my pink pants which lookeds like the one Princess Jasmine wears.. pero posh pa rin...haha... And my newly-bought doll shoes, cute nga (sabi nila ah) pero masakit na yung toes ko... band-aid mode na nga eh...pero carry pa rin... Sana makauwi pa ako ng walang paltos sa paa...

Media Studies 11... so much fun...
It's our first official day of class in MS 11 this day. It's because Sir Amor got sick last week after leaving the country the weekend before that.
Well, initially I felt nervous since I didn't know what to expect - except for the recitation/ active participation part (I really don't like talking in front of my classmates, as in yung recitation mode). But after Sir's warm welcome and as he discussed the syllabus and the introduction to the course, I felt more relaxed. Lucky for me kasi may sense of humor si Sir. The class is never boring. And I felt more confident to answer his questions.
Hope that this confidence would last until the end of the sem.

Babalik na ba ako ng Baguio?
Dahil sa extended na bakasyon, lalo tuloy ako tinamad bumalik ng school...
Got spoiled by everything here:
Got spoiled by everything here:
- the food
- internet
- laundry
- sleep
- books
- unlimited time...
I'm sure I'll be missing all of these once I set foot on Baguio again.
Hoping to get close with the new housemates easily...
and hoping for my subjects not to give me additional burden during my stay....
These I pray before I go to sleep tonight.
