pictures galore!

classmates / friends up the stage

parang walang nagbago...

haha...wacky daw..!

These pictures were taken during Sir Scott "Popoy" M. Saboy, our instructor in Humanities 1, was giving his evaluation for our final performance which was a stage play, by the way. Good to say that he said that what was performed was not what he expected, but we surpassed his expectation.

It was such a crazy class...but we really learned a lot. About reading, about exploring and seeking something more...

I won't ever forget this class...

It's more than just a class, it's a family....

poems or not? beginning to study poetry in a deeper sense...

My Humanities class a few hours ago was just alright. We had a quiz, some discussions and group activity.

We were divided into 8 groups where a piece of literature to identify as a poem or not. All of which are presented to the class in the form of a song (kasi kantanga naman), music videos included. The pieces are:

Where Have All the Flowers Gone?... Peter Seeger (our piece)
Kaleidoscope World... Francis M.
Colors of the Wind... Lea Salonga
Journey... Lea Salonga
Heal the World... Michael Jackson
Angels among Us... Alabama
In the Name of the King..
I Need a Hero... Bonnie Tyler

Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time for our presentations so we just had our group discussion and we will be presenting next meeting. At 2:30, class ended.

I think our group had a nice discussion. Hope the reporting would be nice as well.

now studying poetry in my Humanities class...

...discussions on Short Stories just ended...

next stop:
POETRY

Poetry which is:
  • full of interpretations...
  • colored by personal meanings...
  • fueled by powerful words...
  • scripted by creative hands...
  • and when once lived, continues to live forever...

and

  • either sinulat lang kasi walang nagawa...
  • labasan ng sama ng loob...
  • corny pero sweet na alternative or kasama ng love letters...
  • at extension ng sarili...

Poems...
  • which i also love doing more often when bored rather than inspired......
you can click this to see samples...(*wink*)

hope i would be able to enjoy the lessons...
our 1st poem to tackle is the Son of the Sun...
(and I'm assigned to research on the meaning/ relationship of the words Shatila and My Lai to the poem...good luck naman sa'kin..)
