the night bago umuwi last sem...2nd or 3rd week yata ng March '09...

started reading Life Expectancy the other day///

i started browsing the novel and now I'm halfway through it...
i can't have a continuous time in reading the book since i also have other stuffs to accomplish...
but so far, the story caught a variety of emotions in me - fear (my heart beat faster on the initial part, indeed), humor, gladness, confusion - and i expect more thrill on the other half of the story...
he has such a gifted hand and mind...
oh i wish i can share this talent!

times we didn't know what to do...

well..
my roommate (at the same time, my blocmate, friend, orgmate) ,Tin and I share the same bed in our room (though we have 2 king-size beds there). we knew each other for 2 years now. and as friends, one thing the keeps us occupied (aside from eating, reading books, surfing the net, sleeping, and walking around) is taking posing and taking pictures of ourselves. Take note: lots and lots of pictures until our cams ran out of battery!
Whatever the position, wherever we are...there's no stopping this vice!

here's just one picture on our room...
she was about to sleep while i was reviewing my notes... getting ready for the lesson tomorrow (can you see my orange Stabilo marker?)....but we decided to take one shot before that...
haha...

try to see some more picture at my multiply site.

Camp John Hay Eco Trail for PE2 summer class

i woke up early this morning to prepare for the first meeting of my PE class (Outdoor Recreation). when we arrived in our room, Sir Florendo just started discussing our course outline.

after a few more words, he said that we could have our break for around 20-30 minutes before our first activity - we will be travelling be foot to Camp John Hay to finish the Eco Trail located there. i was really surprised by this early announcement. i was only wearing a sleeveless and a jacket on top, with my tight skinny jeans and posh flip flops...O-M-G! i wasn't even prepared for a walk. i thought that since this is the first day we were only about to submit our class cards to him. but since this was the class that i enrolled, i have no choice but to agree on whatever our Prof's decision will be.

After a few minutes, we gathered to the main entrance of the university and then we began to get moving. i walked with my friend Jenica who is a resident of the same dorm i'm staying in as well. we knew each other since first year and we've been classmates in most of our subjects the previous sem. another good this was that both of us wore the same type of clothing - at least may partner ako...haha.

we reached the gate and began the trail. the grass is wet due to the rain last night; the ground is muddy which made our descent more 'dangerous' since we were afraid of slipping here and there; the frogs are all noisy... making our trail more irritating for me. but despite all these, i really loves the scene - the tall pine trees, the dew on the leaves, the rays of the sun trying to penetrate through the woods, the imbalance between the coldness and the warmth in the trail.

i also enjoyed a number of bridges (hanging and wooded ones) which we passed in order to get to next place, which ironically Jenica hated the most. she even cried at the sight of the first hanging bridge we were about to pass.

it was almost an hour of ups, downs, curves, and skips before we were able to be on the main site. yes it was exhausting... really exhausting...

we rested for a couple of minutes and then started our way back...
oh no..
not again....

the sky is gray with heavy clouds...i'm really afraid it might rain.
oh i hate the rain!

so when Sir told us that we are dismissed once we finished our way back, we hastily get on our feet and walked as fast as we can with the most careful steps we were able to make.

another draining hour of walk.
walk. walk. walk. climb. descent. here and there.

this time, we were more relaxed since we already knew the path.
we were also able to take a few pictures even in the hanging bridge.

(midway, i saw a crab around 3 inches long. i tried to move it and saw it was alive indeed. i was shocked to see an orange crab on the woods... i even told my other classmates about it before moving forward. Sir Florendo saw it as well and said that one classmate took it with him...haha)

well... it was such a nice experience... though it really made both my feet tired. this is my first time to travel that trail and it was fulfilling for me.

hope for another crazy adventure from this class...
most especially, looking forward in going to Sagada before summer class ends...

a friend from abroad called..

a Malaysian friend just asked for my number last night and i really didn't expect that he would seriously call after that.. Around 10 pm this night, he just called. I wasn't able to answer the first one because my cell phone was in silent mode and it's battery was wearing low.. At first, i wasn't really sure who was calling me and then he texted me and asked it id was really my number. I replied and said yes, asked him to call me if he can.. and he really did.

We just had a short conversation since the line was choppy and i can't hear some of his words, but i guess we understood each other more or less with accuracy.

He actually sounded like a Chinese, which really shocked me because he was an Australian who was born in Iran and is now at Malaysia..what a world tour!

We bid goodbye and he said he would call me sometime "later" - i don't know precisely what that means.

After putting down the phone, he texted me to go online so we could chat but i read the message late because i took a bath first.

Hope he would call soon...
again.

encounter with my ultimate crush - YAEL!!!!

...while spending time here in the library yesterday afternoon, i got the chance to chat with Yan Yuzon (from the bands Pupil and Archipelago)... I was asking him when will they come back here either with his another band - Archipelago - or with his brother Yael. He said that Yael was just right here at Baguio City.

After the short chat, I hastily logged out and got my things. I rode a jeep to Melvin Jones Grand Stand just to know that they were not performing there (what a waste!). It was past 5pm. I walked my way up to Session Road where its length was covered by various booths and stalls from all over the country in line with the celebration of Panagbenga 2009 - it was "Session in Bloom."

I made my way and saw the stage being arranged by a production team from Smart Buddy. There was also a banner saying that Sponge Cola and the Bloomfieds were performing by 7pm. And so I waited. I waited alone.

At first there were few people waiting but when it was almost 7pm, the population grew fast!

I was just so irritated because the show started almost 8pm and i was hungry. My last meal was a brunch around 10 in the morning.

The event first started with a couple of games then the Bloomfields. It was such a very long performance. I wanted to seat and the people around me kept pushing and pushing all over. I just hate the crowd.

After more than an hour, they ended up their performance - thank God!
Unfortunately, it's time for another round of games...

And there came the most awaited moment!
time to rock the stage with SPONGE COLA - Yael, Armo, Gosh and Wendell.
Everyone was cheering their lungs out!

I've been silent for the whole time but this is the right moment to scream and cheer for my Yael!
Yael is undeniably the best of all!
I just can't stop cheering and jumping in my place after he came out from the backstage wearing nothing but a jacket and shoes from his favorite brand - Adidas..
He was so handsome, so appealing! That's why many girls are so, so crazily in love with him..!

I'm really glad to see him with a new haircut. He definitely looked more handsome now! With his white and smooth skin, his very powerful voice and with just his presence in the place, I just cant deny the feeling of being so much into him. I can't put my eyes off him even for a while.

I just love his voice. And I actually love his band even from the start.
He's just so awesome.

He knew how to entertain the crowd. When he stepped down the stage, he circled the fence for his wild fans and extended his arms for some kind of a contact. Luckily, I has the chance to touch his arm even for just a few seconds....oh, I really didn't want to wash my hands afterward.

They performed a few songs including KLSP, Tuliro, Di na Mababawi, Makapagtataka, Bitiw, Pare Ko, Pasubali, Puso, Sana Maulit Muli, Closer You and I, and many more... I, together with all the people out there sang with him.

On one part of the performance, Yael also sang a few lines on Francis M.'s Kaleidoscope World to give tribute to him, to thank him for all his help and to pray for his soul. He was teary-eyed that time. He bent to wipe his tears and stood up with a smile trying to cheer his crowd. Oh, it's the first time I saw him cry.

But generally, the performance wrapped up so well. So fabulous!
I didn't want the night to end. I wanted this time with Yael to be for eternity...
I just really, really love him!
I'm hoping to see them again perform soon.

Please don't say that he was overrated. This is just how i feel.

By the way, Armo was cute as well.

Gosh is my idol when it comes to song composition.

Wendell did great on his drums (he replaced Chris Cantada, the former drummer due to health reasons).

All are very talented - bound by friendship and passion for music.

And as YAEL, my love, said,
"Keep the fire Burning!"

So be it.
