Who Am I?

--------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------o->>
I'm the daughter of the bestest parents in the world.
I'm a sister, I'm a friend
I'm a student, I'm a teacher.

I'm a ruler.

I make my own rules -
Rules that I can live by.
I have my own principles...

...built through time,
...tested with courage,
...shook but not brought down.

I'm a writer.
I write my own story,
Page by page...
Chapter by chapter.
I'm a dreamer.
I can see things in my sleep.
I dream of what I want.

I dream of what I fear becoming.

I'm a child.
I'm in need of protection.
I'm searching for love.
Warmth is what I long for.

I can give what I have.
As long as it matters.
As long as I'm here.

Napanood mo ba ang SONA ni PGMA? Ako kasi hindi eh...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------o-O-o----------------------------------------

No to CHA-CHA, No to Con-As, etc.

And the opposition: Ayun. Continuous pa rin ang battle agains what they think about her and her toxic governance.

Last week lang, ang USC (University Stuident Council) sa UP Baguio ay nagset-up ng funeral-type setting sa lobby. Para kay Gloria. For her Lies. Aginst CHA-CHA. For Democracy. Against her tactics.

By Friday, nagkaron pa ng program about this. (Pero di ako sumali. Wala lang uli.)

(University of the Philippines, Baguio City)
-July 21-24, 2009-

If she says something, usually di naman natutuloy. Then she constantly set aside other things. Sana lang iba yung NEXT President. My fingers are crossed to that.

poems or not? beginning to study poetry in a deeper sense...

My Humanities class a few hours ago was just alright. We had a quiz, some discussions and group activity.

We were divided into 8 groups where a piece of literature to identify as a poem or not. All of which are presented to the class in the form of a song (kasi kantanga naman), music videos included. The pieces are:

Where Have All the Flowers Gone?... Peter Seeger (our piece)
Kaleidoscope World... Francis M.
Colors of the Wind... Lea Salonga
Journey... Lea Salonga
Heal the World... Michael Jackson
Angels among Us... Alabama
In the Name of the King..
I Need a Hero... Bonnie Tyler

Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time for our presentations so we just had our group discussion and we will be presenting next meeting. At 2:30, class ended.

I think our group had a nice discussion. Hope the reporting would be nice as well.

i saw the solar eclipse this morning!!! first time ko!

While being bothered the past days about the continuous rainy and cloudy skies, this morning sun assured me that there's no need to fret. Yes, dahil doon, I was able to see the solar eclipse habang nasa duty (Student Assistant kasi ako sa college namin) at pinapunta sa Institute of Management. Merong ilang employees na tumitingin at may hawak silang film.

Ako naman, parang bata kasi first time ko nga nakakita ng ganun. Kahit di total eclipse, ok na rin...at least nawitness ko yun kahit papano - the longest solar eclipse of the 21st century...=)

now studying poetry in my Humanities class...

...discussions on Short Stories just ended...

next stop:
POETRY

Poetry which is:
  • full of interpretations...
  • colored by personal meanings...
  • fueled by powerful words...
  • scripted by creative hands...
  • and when once lived, continues to live forever...

and

Poems...
  • which i also love doing more often when bored rather than inspired......
you can click this to see samples...(*wink*)

hope i would be able to enjoy the lessons...
our 1st poem to tackle is the Son of the Sun...
(and I'm assigned to research on the meaning/ relationship of the words Shatila and My Lai to the poem...good luck naman sa'kin..)

How i finished reading Paolo Coelho's The Alchemist...

well...
either nung Monday or Tuesday yun..
i went to National Bookstore at SM Baguio...
headed to the shelves where Paolo Coelho books were displayed...
began to read The Alchemist at page 112...
page 112?
why?
kasi it's already my 4th time to go to NBS just to read this one..
tama bang unti-untiin yung book?

Wla kasi akong magawa noon kaya napagtripan kong basahin 'to.
I've read By the River Piedra I sat Down and Wept, The Zahir and The Pilgrimage as well... I actually have a copy of those books... eh since wala pa akong The Alchemist, binasa ko muna before deciding to buy... Kasi yun na yung last copy nung huli akong tumingin eh...

damn scared...so many questions...

Why do we tend to be afraid of something we haven't experienced or done yet?

Why do we try to resist change?

Why is it difficult to turn our backs from something that
is there all the way though we knew that it ain't doin' us nothing good in the present?

And what is it that controls out mindset that says we're better-off once we continue our lives by going through our own usual norms?

I'm just plain bothered....
Please give me explanations.
Thanks.

Humanities class just ended.
We studied and made some critique and deep intepretations on the short story THE HANDSOMEST DROWNED MAN by Gabriel Garcia-Marquez.

---------------------
..and so finally I'm back! After ilang weeks ng ulan dito, aba himalang umaraw kahapon. Eh wala pa naman pasok kasi Cordillera day. Dahil doon, nakapagpatuyo ako ng mga sampay at nakapunta sa school (kasi may mga bagay na tinapos about group reportings and sa Salakniban) ng hindi nababasa for the first time. Tapos ngayon makulimlim na naman. And paulan-ulan pa. Super girly pa naman ako ngayon with matching mini skirts. Hay.....

Solar Eclipse daw sa July 22!

Sabi ng PAGASA, magkakaron daw ng partial solar eclipse sa July 22, birthday ni Sam, and good thing na mawiwitness 'to sa ilang parts ng Pilipinas. Sa Metro Manila, Calayan Island, Laoag City, Tuguegarao City, Baguio City, Angeles City in Pampanga, Puerto Princesa in Palawan, Lucena City, Naga City, Iloilo, Cebu, Zamboanga, Sulu, Davao at General Santos City. Haha...buti na lang kasama ang Baguio!

Magsisimula daw 'to sa Metro Manila 8:33:01 a.m. and it will reach its full visibility by 9:43 a.m. and will end at 11:01:51 a.m.

Oh..edi very phenomenal 'to.

Sana nga mawitness ko dito ang eclipse.
And sabi din pala ng PAGASA na kailangan protektahan ang mata sa pagsusuot ng sunglasses, or pagtakip ng x-ray films or smoked glasses habang tumitingin.

Tanong?
Pwede bang ganito yung gamitin?

And blending pa yung colors nun...so nice!

adik sa song...

almost a month ko nang pinatugtog 'tong song na 'to sa phone ko...
ang cute kasi ng melody...
and very modern pero light lang...

peace men!
yung dalawa...hmmmm...
well, basta yun..
pakinggan na lang natin sila ng nakapikit.
seems like it's better that way. haha,..

KNOCK YOU DOWN

[Keri Hilson:]
Not again
Oh this ain't supposed to happen to me

[Kanye West:]
Keep rockin and keep knockin'
Whether you're Louie Vuittonin' it up, or Reebokin'
You see the hate that they serving on a plater
So what we gon have dessert or disaster?

[Keri Hilson:]
I never thought I'd be in love like this
When I look at you my mind goes on a trip
Then you came in and knocked me on my face
Feels like I'm in a race but I already won first place

I never thought I fall for you as hard as I did (as hard as I did, yeah)
You got me thinking about our life, our house and kids (Yeah)
Every morning I look at you and smile
Cause boy you came around and you knocked me down (knocked me down)

[Chorus:]
Sometimes love comes around (love comes around, love comes around)
And it knocks you down
Just get back up
When it knocks you down (knocks you down)
Sometimes love comes around
And it knocks you down
Just get back up
When it knocks you down (knocks you down)

[Ne-Yo:]
I never thought I hear myself say
Ya'll gon hate
I think I'm going to kick it with my girl today
I used to be commander-in-chief for my pimp ship flying high
Till I met this pretty little missile, who shot me out the sky

So now I'm crashing don't know how it happened
But I know it feels so damn good
Said if I could go back and make it happen faster
Don't you know i would baby if I could
Miss independent, to the fullest, the load never too much
She helping me pull it, she shot bullet that ended that life
I swear to you the pimp in me just died tonight girl sometimes love

Sometimes love comes around (love comes around, love comes around)
And it knocks you down
Just get back up
When it knocks you down (knocks you down)
Sometimes love comes around
And it knocks you down
Just get back up
[ Keri Hilson Lyrics are found on www.songlyrics.com ]
When it knocks you down (knocks you down)

[Kanye West:]
Tell me now can you make past your caspers
So we could finally fly off into NASA
You was always the cheerleader of my dreams
To seem to only date the head of football teams,
And I was the class clown that always kept you laughing
We were never meant to be, baby we just happened
So please don't mess up the trick,
Hey young world, I'm the new slick rick,
They say I move to quick but we can't let this moment past us,
Let the hour glass pass right into ashes
Let the wind blow the ashes right before my glasses
So I wrote this love letter right before my classes
how could a goddess ask someone that's only average, for advice
O-M-G you listen to that bitch?
Woah is me, baby this is tragic
Cause we had it, we was magic
I was flying, now I'm crashing
This is bad, real bad, Michael Jackson
Now I'm mad, real mad, Joe Jackson
You should leave your boyfriend now, I'ma ask him

[Keri Hilson:]
So you gotta take the good with the bad, the happy and the sad
Or will you bring the better future then I had in the past
Cause I don't want to make the same mistakes i did
I don't wanna fall back on my face again
Woah, woah
I'll admit it, I was scared to answer loves call
Woah, woah
And if it hits, better make it worth the fall

(When it comes around)

Sometimes love comes around (love comes around, love comes around)
And it knocks you down
Just get back up
When it knocks you down (knocks you down)
Sometimes love comes around (comes around)
And it knocks you down
Just get back up
When it knocks you down (knocks you down)

Won’t see it coming when it happens
But when it happens you’re gonna feel it, let me tell you now
You see when love comes knocks you down

Won’t see it coming when it happens
But when it happens you’re gonna feel it, let me tell you now
You see when love knocks you down

grand walk-out sa UP Baguio kahapon... inulan ng pula.

onse-nwebe (11:09)

CHA-CHA is our ENEMY!

Di CHA-CHA ang solusyon!
Edukasyon!

Edukasyon, edukasyon!
Karapatan ng mamamayan!
Karapatan ng mamamayan!
Edukasyon, edukasyon!

"Walk-out! Walk-out! Walk-out! Walk-out!" So ayun, ang dami ngang naka-red kahapon...at and dami ding di sinasadyang nakapagsuot ng red.

During the whole week, ang daming posts sa school and announcements para mahikayat kahat ng mga estudyante na sumama. May mga pinamigay pa ngang whistles na nakaplastic at may papel sa loob na nagsasabing:

"Ipito mo, hinaing mo....."

Kasi nga may teacher na rin na nagsabi, "You cannot walk-out unless you've walked in."

At matulog pa.

Nakakarelax kasi pag nakikinig ako ng music... kahit di ako talented sa singing, who cares... buhay ko 'to no.

Kung di kasi nakapaggrocery, parang nakakawalang gana ring mag-aral..and mabuhay. Food for the life and soul!

Or TV... eh since may cable naman... nood lang hanggang antukin.

Chat til you drop!

Kaso wala eh. Feeling ko nga i'm not living a normal life anymore. Pero ganito talaga. I chose to be here kaya I need to live with it. Hay... konting tiis pa.

finished reading >>Right Behind You last night

though there are a lot of things to be done in school...
something in my life here makes me feel sort of incomplete...
it's because I'm not reading any book right before...
so i headed to National Bookstore and Booksale to look for books...

and i got RIGHT BEHIND YOU by Gail Giles last Thursday...

i found the story somehow touching...
it captures the innocence of a child... and the deep cut that was caused by his mother's early death.
it shown a dash of anger and maybe envy... which led Kip, who was forced to change his identity to Wade, to live for 4 years in a mental hospital for therapy...

they they transferred to different places as unlikely things happened... and as Wade continues his soul-searching... as he tried not to feed his "hungry ghosts" as his shrink said.

it was a really nice story...
it gave good insights about the real life...

you should read this too...
I've got no regrets in buying it.

first time to cook ADOBO last night!!! woah!

kasi naman...
wala akong alam lutuin...

step by step...
and i can't believe it!

it didn't taste as bad as i have thought it would...
and i wanna congratulate myself for this...
haha....

achievement 'to...
hope to learn cooking more dishes before i graduate...
let's say, it would be one of my prerequisites before i receive my diploma,..

wish me luck!

dinner date (sort of) last Friday at Veniz Grill...

July 3, 2009, Friday
(around 5:30pm?)

biglaan lang...
Tin called me and said that our friends are at Veniz Grill (part of Veniz Hotel)...
i was already in my PJs...but then, i decided to come...

it was my first time to go there...
ok naman...
nice ambiance... customer-friendly ang place....
bad thing i took my lunch around 4pm... so I'm still kinda full by this time...

bottom line: i ended up ordering a dessert, a chocolate cake i forgot the name...

who where there?

blocmates + orgmates = friends...

Ate Mika, Ate Tina, Tin, Keith, Paul, Maye, Marc, Ablir, Alodia , LJ (umalis din agad) and DC (na humabol lang)...{hope i named them all}

it was fun...
really...
puro tawanan mga eh...

hope to have a taste of other meals next time...
same people, same place....

movie mode last Sunday >>Transformers: the revenge of the fallen

Category:Movies
Genre: Animation

(watched it last Sunday with Kuya Loren and Micah on a last full show.... biglaan lang...after ng mass and after kumain..then hinatid nila ako pauwi...past...12 na nun...pero alam naman ni mama kasi tinawagan nya ako and kausap ko sya sal abas til nakapasok na kami sa loob)

nice movie.//

i love the model of the cars...
and i love the theme songs:
Never Say Never by The Fray (matagal na 'tong song sa phone ko pero di pa rin nakakasawa).......and
New Divine by Linkin' Park....(2 of my favorite bands)

and and sweet nila Sam and Bee....

....oooopss...Sam and girlfriend pala...

and kinda touching naman ung story....
somehow involved din kasi yung family eh...
i really love Sam's parents...haha...

basta nakakatuwa lang...
and my humor din...
nice nice!

and ang natandaan kong line dun is this (na i also sent as a group message to my friends):

"Fate calls upon us at the moment of our choosing..."
-Optimus Prime-

Nice di ba?

happy 17th birthday Juz!

Well, like what the title says...
Yup, birthday ng brother ko... 2nd year college, FoodTech student...

(peace! nakakatamad maghanap ng pics...)

Wishing you more blessings...
and more more birthdays to come...

well...ok lang...haha)

basta...pakabait ka!
Yun lang...
xOxO!

ulan-araw

Pagkatapos lang ng class kay Sir Boq sa Econ 141,wherein I was forced to pick China's non-tarrif trade barriers as topic for my first major paper here, diretso na ako dito sa library... (um, dumaan muna pala ako sa internet room just to find out na wala nang vacant computer dun).

Pagkatapos hiramin 'tong book na 'to:

Making Cities Work: Urban Policy and Infrastructure in the 21st Century

I went upstairs para makapag-internet...

Pero bago makapasok dito, nabasa, at the same time, naarawan ako while on my way here.
Good thing natapos din agad.

I don't want to be soaked (nakakatamad kasi maglabas ng payong) and sayang naman ang outfit ko today. Kasi naman I'm wearing my pink pants which lookeds like the one Princess Jasmine wears.. pero posh pa rin...haha... And my newly-bought doll shoes, cute nga (sabi nila ah) pero masakit na yung toes ko... band-aid mode na nga eh...pero carry pa rin...

Media Studies 11... so much fun...

It's our first official day of class in MS 11 this day. It's because Sir Amor got sick last week after leaving the country the weekend before that.

Well, initially I felt nervous since I didn't know what to expect - except for the recitation/ active participation part (I really don't like talking in front of my classmates, as in yung recitation mode). But after Sir's warm welcome and as he discussed the syllabus and the introduction to the course, I felt more relaxed. Lucky for me kasi may sense of humor si Sir. The class is never boring. And I felt more confident to answer his questions.

Hope that this confidence would last until the end of the sem.
