microeconomics bloody difficult! da*n...

...oh my gosh..
i think i wanted to collapse...
our 3rd long exam in microeconomics really drained me...
we started the exam by 10:00 am and we extended till 12:35pm..
my tummy really growled so loud..
good thing we sat one seat apart...

i wanted to pass my test answers early, even before 12 noon...
i can't answer the latter part of the exam..

the first ones were so easy - i think some sort of a give-away...
but the last part exhausted all my remaining energy...
i don't want to think about it now...
i'll just do better next time...

keep things to where they should be

I had a 1-page reflection paper due early this morning from a more than 80-page reading material. I'm sure i had it photo copies around 3 weeks ago but i can't seem to locate it the other day when i deseperately needed it. I was reminded of it because as i was reading Twilight again, i passed by the scene where Bella was supposed to write a reflection paper on was Sunday and the library wasn't open. I was so busted!

Luckily, i was able to borrow a copy from a friend and had i xeroxed at a distance for a one-jeep ride (so exhausting...).

I began reading the material which almost occupied me the whole day. I actually skipped some of the pages just to be able to finish it.

By past midnight, my eyes and my brain are already arguing. My eyes demanded its sleep but my brain kept on pushing me to finish my paper.

Good thing i hadn't gave up too soon. I finished my reflection paper by 1:14 am...and then i was able to sleep worry-free...

hate blood tests!

i had my 2nd day of check-up yesterday. the cute nurse tried to get my BP four times and got the reading of 90/70 compared to 70/50 the other day.
the doctor suggested me to have a blood test to see if i have problems like being anemic or so. i am not afraid of needles but i can't endure pain (especially medical ones) and i believe the two seemed top be synonymous now.

i'd prefer to get an injection than for them to take even the least amount of blood from the weak veins,,,,oh, i think i would prefer to be anemic than to gut by blood sucked...,
what mess am i on??

A Foggy Valentine's Day

Last Feb.14, Valentine’s Day seemed to be nothing more than an ordinary day for me, most of my friends, schoolmates and orgmates.

I had a pile of laundry in the morning and went to school after lunch.

But foremost, my day started with flooding text messages from 3 kinds of people – those who are in love, the bitter ones, and those who don’t care. Well, in return, i also send my message to all of them.

As for most of my friends, they recognized this as SAD – Singles’ Awareness Day, or BAD – Biter Awareness Day. So cool!

After getting my assigned readings from the university library, i went to court A to watch the ongoing basketball games.

By 5pm, the scheduled game between ComSci@up.bag (our org) and ACS began. It was a hot fight. The opposing team scored first.

It’s getting dark. The team need to hurry to catch with the scores. After 4 quarters, by the blessing of God, an overtime was announced due to a tie.

Everyone’s getting hotter. It’s so intense. We are cheering hard for our players and with pure skills, good thing they won! This calls for a celebration.

A few minutes of drizzle.

It’s so foggy up here.

I’m freezing with just wearing a blouse, short shorts and flip flops. Blame me.

The org decided to eat out and have a “shot.” As usual, i declined. I really wanted to go with them but i think the weather hindered me on going. One thing more, i don’t have a company when i have to go home. And as i said, it’s cold. So i said goodbye and we had our separate ways.

When i reached our boarding house, i asked my housemates if they wanted to celebrate even for just a while – t say that at least we enjoyed the day. Pathetic.

Since we are all uncommitted, we – Tin, Renee, Abiel and I – decided to walk our way to Burnham Park.

There was a big event going on. Lots of people gathered around the area – families, lovebirds, group of friends - it seemed like we were the only ones “loveless” in town.

Since it’s also a season of Panagbenga – the ever famous Flower Festival of Baguio City – a market encounter can be visited at the vicinity. Lots of stalls from all-over the country selling different kinds of goods. And the diffusing aroma of the foods made our tastebuds crave..hmmmmm...

Also in the middle of the lake was a grand theatrical production. It’s very nice. I really love it. The “Phantom of the Opera” was the theme of the night. The costumes are well prepared. The artists did well. The voices are really astounding. The lights and effects were perfect. It was a high-cost production, obviously.

It’s getting warm. The crowd made me feel suffocated. I’m hungry so we decided to eat, except for Renee. We ate one footlong each. After the sight-seeing, we decided to go home.

By reaching our place, we decided to celebrate some more. So we bought an all-in-one pizza in a restaurant near us. We ate and took pictures... and and took pictures until we were full, exhausted and sleepy. Splurge to the max!

Oh i remember, a few of my couple friends told me it’s sweeter to go on a date r celebrate love on ordinary days – unplanned, more surprising. Another said (while hugging her girlfriend) it’s Valentine’s everyday for them. And i definitely agree.

The essence of this occasion is now with flowers, cakes, chocolates, dinners. Not the occasion itself but the attitude towards it. We can feel it’s a Happy Heart’s Day everyday if we want; if we celebrate with the right people who appreciate us with the simplicity of life; if we believe we can be happy indeed and if we remember this occasion with the Lord. As simple as that.

“Sometimes, divine revelation simply means adjusting your brain to hear what your heart already knows.”

This novel is just awesome! I really like this book. The plot, the twist. Everything was creatively written. It was polished by situations greatly imagined by Brown with inclusions of real-life setting and events. Brown took us to the deepest part of Rome and the Vatican. There are lots of new information in here. Papal elections, laws, conducts. Not just that. This novel contained a great deal of knowledge about the vast realms of science – specifically physics and some biology. The debate of the never-ending war between science and religion was narrated perfectly in each line. This novel truly exposed with revelations about the world we thought we already knew completely. This is such a great exploration. This book really made me think. The relationships between the common people, US Presidents, Masons, popes, the Illuminati – produced a narrative in depth. I was so amazed by how Mr. Brown found every detail closely related to each other and how the sequences occurred totally made this one a big hit. Land. Air. Water. Fire. The Illuminati Diamond. The great legend. I don’t know how to describe it. it all happened in a span of just less than 24 hours and it was packed with thrill and so much mysteries to unfurl – truly fast-paced. I really had a hard time putting it down because of the eagerness to know how it will conclude. This book didn’t fail to recognize the important dimensions of the realm of science and religion to man. Brown is utterly one helluva writer! He’s got a powerful mind and heart which really worked well with his pen and paper. Kudos!

a sense of moving on...

As a student, most of the time a lesson is being specifically ended then the prof says something like, "..ok class, let's move on.."

I just saw its correlation to our daily , normal lives. Most of the moments, we are hearing the topic of moving on from those whose relationship just concluded; and more often than not, the broken-hearted ones feel like that heavens just fallen onto them...hay...

But i believe, moving on is more flexible when it comes to feelings and related evens.

Generally, moving on is gathering your strength after a fall - may it be the tiniest thing or the most difficult task you can imagine. Or it could mean choosing another path you think will give you more space for individual growth and freedom. Somehow, it is taking yourself back.

A for the classroom setting, moving on from one topic to another is indicative that after the previous lessons have been taught, we still need more knowledge and experience in order to endure nd be better off.

Life is an accumulation of everything. Moving forward means a higher level of understanding and inner strength. After passing through the initial stages, life says that it is now time to walk into a path wherein we never set foot before. This is a new episode; the symbol of a higher self-identification and perseverance giving yourself a chance for an upturn.

But it has its own processes that we must follow. It is unique for everyone. We must discover the steps ourselves so we can follow through.

We must face the reality so we won't be static. Moving on allows change which is a healthy and has always been a "given" part of our existence.

love story

Genre: International
Artist:Taylor Swift
This song came out when the rumors that Taylor broke up with Joe Jonas.
i actually don't know the real story behind their affair, and i don't care either.

Anyways, this song flew its position so easily on all music countdowns since its release.

I know the concept is not unique but i liked it. I think it's cute. Taylor is undeniably so pretty and her partner looked close to Joe on the first scene (just trying to relate things here).

It's a Romeo and Juliet love story. The lyrics are simple but are nice to the ears. The tune is also good. Really suited for Valentine's Day.

One thing more, their settings are really great. Especially the “mini” castle. It's really romantic. The production did it well. Her voice fits the song perfectly. Just love it!
